Empire Life | Product and Administration Update

Effective June 29, 2015, Empire Life will no longer offer the Trilogy Plus product. Over the past several years, Canada has experienced a sustained low interest environment that has challenged some sales concepts that target specific life insurance products, such as universal life. To ensure our insurance offering remains sustainable and competitive, we will stop selling Trilogy Plus universal life plans effective June 29, 2015.

Also on the same date, we will no longer allow multiple lives to be covered under any participating life insurance plan (EstateMax or Optimax), and this option will no longer be supported by our illustration system. Note: This change does not include joint first death or joint last death coverage.
