Is your email secure?

The majority of all email communication we have with advisors, and that you have with your clients, contain personal information which must be safeguarded while in transmission. PIPEDA’s Principle 7 – Safeguards requires that ‘Personal information must be protected by appropriate security relative to the sensitivity of the information’.

We believe TLS (Transport Layer Security, an encryption protocol that protects communications on the Internet) is part of the overall solution to ensuring secure email communication.

Unfortunately, not all email providers or domain hosts have TLS enabled.
