Standard Life is pleased to present you with this special issue of its quarterly newsletter, Legislationmatters, addressing measures proposed in Bill 80. Entitled An Act respecting voluntary retirement savings plans, the Bill was introduced in the National Assembly on June 12, 2012 by the Québec’s Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, Julie Boulet. Bill 80 lays the foundation for the Voluntary Retirement Savings Plan (VRSP) to become a reality in Québec, effective January 1, 2013.
