Foresters Insurance | Basic Children’s Coverage

What’s the value?

Basic Children’s Coverage
Where the age of the proposed insured is between 18 and 55 when the certificate takes effect, Familylife1 includes $3,000 of convertible term life insurance for the insured person’s children.

A child must be under 18 to become insured, but insurance stays in effect to the child’s 25th birthday. The $3,000 of term insurance is convertible to any permanent plan then offered by ForestersTM for this conversion, for each insured child, without evidence of insurability.

Let’s see it in action
Denise & Tom are 37 year-old non-smokers with two young children. They understand the value of life insurance as their 2-year-old daughter has spent the past year in and out of the Hospital for Sick Children with a heart problem. They both buy a $100,000 life pay Familylife certificate.

Her premium for the Familylife coverage of $49,000 of base and $51,000 of enhanced protection is $89.70 per month. His premium for the Familylife coverage of $53,200 of base and $46,800 of enhanced protection is $111.46 per month. The Basic Children’s Coverage of $3,000 applies to both children and both certificates. So each child has $6,000 of convertible term protection.

Denise & Tom know that they have $6,000 available to put towards a proper funeral for their daughter should one of the hospital’s life saving procedures not succeed. It is not something they like to dwell on as parents but they would like to have the money should they unfortunately have to use it.
