The window is now open! To apply for a Foresters Competitive Scholarship.
Foresters wants to help members, their spouse, their children or grandchildren get the choices and chances that come with higher education. Since the Foresters Competitive Scholarship1 program began in 1982, Foresters has awarded over 7,300 scholarships worth more than $30 million in the US, Canada and the UK.
- As many as 250 new Scholarships worth up to $8,000 are awarded annually.
- Awards are applicable to tuition for any minimum two-year, full-time program of study at vocational or trade schools, universities or community colleges in the US, Canada or the UK.
The application window is open between December 1, 2012 and February 28, 2013.
To be eligible for a scholarship, your client must:
- Be a Foresters member in good standing, or be the spouse, child, grandchild, or under the legal guardianship of an eligible Foresters member.
- Have completed at least 40 hours of volunteer work in the last two years.
- Have a GPA of at least 2.8, or minimum grades of 70%.
The application form is available now at MyForesters.com. If they haven’t already signed up, here are the simple steps your member client will follow to register:
Go to MyForesters.com and click on “Register” in the top right corner.

Please note that the member’s first and last name must be entered as it appears on your certificate.
Create a memorable username and password.
