Foresters Insurance | A Guide to the Easylife
One of ForestersTM goals with Easylife1, our new par life insurance product, is to simplify the sales process.
The first step in that process is to provide your client with an Easylife illustration which they can review before deciding to buy.
Based on your feedback, effective immediately we have changed our procedures and no longer require a signed copy of the illustration sent to us with the signed Easylife application. To simplify the sales process for you, we will mail a copy of the illustration to the client with their welcome package.
Split Commissions
When you complete an Easylife application, you will see a checkbox with the label “Do Split Commissions Apply”. You do not need to check this box if you are not splitting commissions with other agents. Simply leave the box unchecked and you will receive your full commission.
Our new illustration software, Sky, makes it simple to create easy-to-understand illustrations showing product premium, cash values, coverage amounts and more.
If you have not done so already, click here to download Sky. Please note, Windows Vista and Windows 7 have administrative rights that may block an application from initially running. Click here for a helpful PDF on how to run Sky as an administrator if the software does not start right away or you see the message “Sky application is currently running”.
After Sky has been installed, double click on the Sky icon to launch the software. Select “Easylife” from the “Select a Product” drop-down menu on the main screen.
To create an Easylife illustration, simply enter the client’s information, indicate if they want the Accidental Death Benefit and select the coverage amount. A summary box is displayed on the right-hand side of the screen showing basic quote information including total modal premium.
You can customize the look of the illustration by selecting “Output Options” at the top of the screen. You may select from a number of output options including language, title page, product summary page and agent summary page.
Select the Preview icon at the bottom of the screen to create a PDF of the illustration which you can print for your client.
